How does Red Oak Homes make the process easy for us?

We are a family owned local business. So, we take what we do personally and want every client to feel like part of our family. We can help with the design, property search, lending etc. We are there to help in every way that we can.

What should I expect during the design/build renovation for my custom home?

We will work with your designer and or architect throughout the plan stages. If you do not have a company to complete your plans, we have a local designer that we work together with for new custom homes as well as remodels and additions. Small, simple projects can normally be completed in-house without adding costs to the project for design work.

When is the best time to remodel my home?

Anytime is a good time to remodel any home. If there are areas that you feel need an improvement, then we would be glad to discuss them with you to make sure that it is a viable option to complete for your custom home and home additions.

How much should I budget for my project?

Each project we do is quoted individually. We do not have set prices, and this is for anything from a remodel or addition, to a full custom home. This allows us to obtain the best possible cost to build for each customer based on their specific needs or requirements.

Can I live in my house while it is being remodeled?

Most remodel projects will allow for the homeowners to stay in the home for the duration of the project. However, it is a construction site. There will be noise, debris and dust to contend with. While we will always do our best to accommodate the homeowners, it is construction.

What is the time frame for a home addition or detached garage?

Projects can range from a couple of weeks for a small bathroom remodel to several months for a larger remodel or addition. We are able to build complete new homes in less than 6 months with them taking 4 to 5 months most of the time.

How does the material and design selection process work?

We work with the homeowners from the beginning to the end of the project. We go over all details of the home owner's desires and incorporate them into the project. We have multiple vendors that are used to select all items from flooring, cabinets, counter tops, plumbing and lighting fixtures.

What are your standard finishes?

Full custom cabinets, granite counter tops, standard flooring options including tile, laminate and carpet just to name a few. Fully finished out garage with texture and paint. No added costs for 9 foot ceilings.

What kinds of architectural styles do you offer?

We will build anything that the homeowners desire. We will work with our designer or yours to achieve your perfect home. From home additions, garage builds, guest house builds and custom homes, we want to create your vision.

How close can a detached garage be to my home?

Typically, we try to keep the detached garages at least 10ft from the home although any distance will work and we build to suit the homeowners needs.

What payment methods are accepted?

Red Oak Homes does not offer any type of in-house financing. We can work with your lender or help you obtain the proper financing through one of our local lenders. And we can always work with cash customers as well.
